Warranty terms
How the Powrio battery warranty works — in plain language. Your warranty certificate states the term that applies to your battery.
1. Scope
These terms apply to Powrio LiFePO₄ battery packs supplied by Powrio Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (“Powrio”) through its authorised dealers and distributors in India. They are in addition to your rights under applicable consumer protection law, which they do not limit.
2. Warranty period
- Residential products: 5 years from the date of purchase.
- Commercial applications: 3 to 5 years depending on the product and usage conditions. Extended warranty may be available.
- The warranty period, start date and end date that apply to your battery are recorded on your warranty certificate. Where the certificate states a different term, the certificate prevails.
3. Performance guarantee
Under normal usage within the rated specifications, the battery is guaranteed to retain a minimum of 80% of its rated capacity at the end of the warranty period.
4. What is covered
- Defects in materials or workmanship present at the time of manufacture.
- Failures of the battery management system (BMS).
- Premature loss of capacity beyond the guaranteed threshold in section 3.
5. Exclusions
The warranty does not cover damage or loss of performance resulting from:
- Physical damage, including impact, crushing, puncture, fire or water damage.
- Misuse, neglect, or use outside the rated specifications on the product label and datasheet.
- Unauthorised modification, disassembly or repair, or removal/alteration of the serial number.
- Installation, wiring, inverter or charger faults, including incorrect charging settings, not caused by the battery.
- Normal, gradual capacity reduction within the guaranteed threshold.
6. Registration
Register your battery online at powrio.com/warranty/register with your contact details, battery serial number, purchase date and dealer. You receive a certificate number immediately. Keep your purchase invoice — it may be requested when you make a claim. Registrations are reviewed by Powrio; you will be notified by email when yours is approved.
7. Making a claim
- Look up your warranty at Warranty Lookup using your registered email and serial number.
- Choose “Raise a claim”, describe the issue and attach clear photos of the battery, its label and the installation.
- Your dealer and the Powrio service team review the claim. We may ask for diagnostic information or a test of the battery.
- You can follow the status of your claim online and will be notified by email of updates.
8. Remedies
For an approved claim, Powrio will, at its option, repair the battery, replace it with an equivalent product, or issue a credit. Repair, replacement or credit is issued within 15 business days of the claim being approved.
9. Transfer
The warranty stays with the battery if it is sold or transferred, provided it was properly registered. Anyone can confirm a certificate is genuine using the QR code or at powrio.com/warranty.
10. Contact
For warranty questions, email support@powrio.com or call +91 96703 18958. Please include your serial number or certificate number.
